About The Health Care Improvement Foundation
The Health Care Improvement Foundation (HCIF) is an independent non-profit organization that leads healthcare initiatives aimed at improving the safety, outcomes, and care experiences of all patients, residents and consumers across the Delaware Valley. HCIF is dedicated to the vision that, through an engaged, collaborative community, the region benefits from a high-performing healthcare delivery system demonstrating enhanced measures of safety, quality, and effectiveness.
The development of HCIF's portal and reporting sites were made possible through funding by the Partnership for Patient Care (PPC), a multi-year, quality and patient safety effort involving all hospitals in the five county southeastern Pennsylvania region, now joined by other providers and interested stakeholders in the area. Funded by Independence Blue Cross and the hospital community, and coordinated by the Health Care Improvement Foundation, the focus of PPC is to accelerate the effective adoption of evidence-based clinical practices by pooling the resources, knowledge, and efforts of healthcare providers in our region.
