About The Health Care Improvement Foundation and the Pennsylvania Pressure Ulcer Partnership

Health Care Improvement Foundation Logo

In 2008, several Pennsylvania-based organizations launched a statewide initiative to reduce the incidence and severity of pressure ulcers among hospitals, long-term care and home care settings. Following regional conferences in the fall, participants began to implement effective interventions and prevention strategies and committed to on-going Partnership activities including conference calls and data collection. Collaborating organizations include the Health Care Improvement Foundation, the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania, ECRI Institute, and Quality Insights of Pennsylvania. Generous financial support was provided by the Partnership for Patient Care, funded by area hospitals and Independence Blue Cross.
